Earthshine-Mini will be the world’s first space habitat with both an internal artificial gravity area large enough to live and work in, and a microgravity area to work and play in, within the same habitat!
Everything a person wants to do in space requires microgravity, be it science, manufacturing, or team sports on flying broomsticks. But microgravity is rough on the human body – there are a multitude of health side effects, and anything involving a kitchen or bathroom is just better in gravity. Enter Earthshine-Mini.

Explore Earthshine Mini
At the heart of Earthshine-Mini is the Transit Chamber. It runs the length of the habitat and is the axis all the artificial gravity chambers rotate about. Bulkhead doors leads off into the cupola and microgravity portions of the habitat, as well as the all-important Rotation Matching Chambers.
Artificial Gravity
The Rotation Matching Chambers are smaller centrifuges that spin up astronauts so they match the speed of the continuously rotating 12m diameter living area chamber. Once the rotation rate matches, astronauts can climb ‘down’ the ladder into the living area.

Eat!
A modern kitchen and dining area provides all the comforts of home, while a hydroponics bay provides delicious fresh greens.

Exercise!
A compact exercise area and medical bay keep residents and visitors in good shape, while an advanced life support system recycles water for laundry – no more throwing clothes away when they get dirty!

Sleep :)
Bedrooms are available in the artificial gravity area. Alternatively sleeping pods in the microgravity area are an option.
